About

I’ve been interested in digital photography for over ten years. I started getting serious in September 2000 when I spent a couple of weeks in a typhoon ravaged Hong Kong. Since then my work has been exhibited and sold in Australia and New Zealand.

In 2006 I received a commission for the award winning Holiday Inn Wellington designed by the Studio of Pacific Architecture. In 2008 I purchased a large format film View Camera. I now apply the learning from the time spent with the View Camera to my stitched digital images. You can read more about my learning and experiences at my photography blog. I live in Melbourne, the capital  of Victoria in the south-east of Australia.

If you visit my galleries you’ll see that I mainly photograph landscapes in a panoramic style: twilight scenes from Victoria (in and around Melbourne), and a variety of architectural topics including grain silos, churches and bridges.

Equipment

All my work now is almost exclusively digital, but I can on request produce images using large format film cameras.

My first digital camera in 1997 was a Sony Mavica which used floppy disks as the recording media. This was followed up by a Sony F-707 in 2001 which featured a superb Carl Zeiss lens. In 2007 I purchased the Nikon D200 which is my main camera today. In 2008 I added a Sinar F2 View Camera to compliment the Nikon.
